Sustainable solutions

In Australia, the Knauf Insulation range of building solutions includes thermal, acoustic and non-combustible insulation for new build and renovation of residential, non-residential and commercial buildings and Green Roof projects.

Knauf Insulation products are BAL rated, NCC 2022, NATSPEC and Green Rate, Level A GreenTag compliant. Their range of materials is backed by independent advice, and when used within Knauf (Gypsum) high performance wall & ceilings systems, can contribute towards building energy ratings with R-values for high thermal performance as well as acoustic performance, in particular the reduction of noise transfer for optimal comfort of building occupants.

ECOSE® Technology

Knauf Insulation glasswool is manufactured using state-of-the-art technology, industry leading innovation and certified manufacturing processes to deliver one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly glasswool products available in Australia. Glasswool is the most used insulant globally, offering versatility across multiple applications and a unique combination of performance benefits.

Knauf Insulation glasswool products are made with ECOSE® Technology, a unique bio-based binder containing no added formaldehyde or phenol. This means the insulation generates very low levels of dust, is soft to the touch, and easy to handle and install. 

The range

The Knauf Insulation range specified and now available in Knauf (Gypsum) Fulfilment Centres nationally includes wall batts, ceiling batts, acoustic batts and rolls; with R-values, batt widths and thicknesses for both thermal and acoustic applications.

The Knauf Insulation Ceiling Batt range includes a selection of R-values to provide designers and building professionals the opportunity to choose the best thermal performance for their project.

Knauf Insulation Wall Batts will help improve the thermal comfort and energy efficiency of the building in which it has been installed thus keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter. 

Knauf Insulation Acoustic Batts improve acoustic performance by absorbing the transfer of unwanted sound from external sources and between adjoining rooms.

The addition of Knauf Insulation glasswool products to commercial wall & ceiling systems gives customers access to fully compliant and complete Knauf branded solutions. This includes a full range of glasswool products specified in Systems+ for commercial solutions and available in Knauf Fulfillment Centres nationally.
