Knauf suite of products used to help create the University of Melbourne's Carlton Connect

Carlton Connect is a mixed-use development on the edge of the Melbourne CBD developed by the University of Melbourne. Comprising three buildings – Knauf’s Acoustic plasterboard (SoundStop™) was supplied to fit-out one of three buildings. Construction on this mammoth $425m development, designed by architects Woods Bagot, began in December 2019 and was completed in July 2020. 

Knauf collaborated with Lend Lease and Express Interiors to provide materials that would be suitable for the mixed-use space. For the fire and acoustical requirements, we provided our 13mm & 16mm FireStop Plasterboard, 13mm SHEETROCK® HD Plasterboard and 13mm SoundStop™ Plasterboard, Knauf Plastering Compounds, Finishes & adhesives, insulation and accessories.
