Schindler Group is a world-renowned escalator and moving walkway manufacturer, founded in Switzerland in 1874. The company is present in more than 140 countries with over 58,000 employees worldwide.

ONE1JSG Business Services, Malaysia started in 2018. They moved into their new office at Bangunan TH Uptown 3 in 2019.

Prior to the renovation work for the new office, the interior designer was sourcing for a seamless plasterboard ceiling look with excellent sound absorption for the office boardroom.

Reason why the customer chose Knauf?

• Client needed high acoustic performance for the seamless plasterboard ceiling. The standard plasterboard ceilings will not be able to provide sound absorption performance without perforation while acoustical ceiling tile with grid system was not in the interior designer's wishlist.

• The Knauf Sheetrock® Ensemble™ Seamless Acoustical Plasterboard Ceiling fits the requirement perfectly, as it is a seamless ceiling without perforation that comes with Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.80 and Ceiling Attenuation Class (CAC) of 48.

Achievement / Benefits gained after using Knauf Sheetrock® Ensemble™ Seamless Acoustical Plasterboard Ceiling

• Both the client and interior designer were very much satisfied with the overall acoustic results in the “Ensemble™” boardroom. Although there are glass windows at the long edge of the room the Ensemble™ is able to keep reverberation at a minimum level and at the same time restrain noise from coming in through rooms next to the boardroom at the same time.

• As a result, meetings are conducted efficiently due to high speech clarity thanks the Ensemble™, the only seamless ceiling system by Knauf with high sound absorption.
