KLIA2 MALAYSIA AIRPORT
The robust construction of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) caters to the ever evolving and dynamic global aviation industry. It sets the benchmark while redefining travel experiences for passengers with its ‘Next Generation Hub’ concept. Its design incorporates eco-friendly materials that mimic the natural green environment.
Understanding the requirement for this building structure, the developer of KLIA2 engaged Knauf Sheetrock® UniSpan™ with Key-Lock features that allow the building to create a wide concealed ceiling system, which complemented the unique main-frame structure in KLIA2’s main terminal.
Knauf Sheetrock® UniSpan™
Knauf Sheetrock® UniSpan™ is a lightweight and resilient plasterboard specially developed to be fixed on ceiling framing members that are spaced up to 610mm apart. The unique features of this product allow for improved on-site productivity and material usage.
